These are the words from the filmmaker’s journal that he kept on a trip to Mozambique and South Africa. The same trip, subsequently, that he asked his girlfriend to marry him.
Not only is the imagery breathtaking, but it’s also a glimpse in to what was going through the filmmaker’s head as he arguably makes the most important “choice” of his life.
