There was a nice story in the Media Decoder column in the New York Times today about G.E. and Cinelan‘s plans to produce thirty 3-minute stories about innovation. Got one?

In the meantime, check out Cinelan‘s site where they specialize in telling stories in under three minutes. There are some hits and some misses too. I try to learn from all of them, and I especially notice when I leave and why.

Why 3 minutes long? Here’s what they say:

An 18-minute non-fiction film is a “short documentary”. A three-minute non-fiction film, is just a “story”, helping us appeal to a wider audience.
